I don’t know about you, but whenever I talk to someone else who pulls hair out, I feel as if I instantly have this connection with them. I’m not trying to be cheesy or emotional, but this is something that I genuinely feel.

Pull Free Day 5
by mspennylane on 17. Jul, 2009 in Personal Stories, Support
I didn’t post yesterday, but that doesn’t mean I have failed in my challenge. Still pull-free! Although I did have a good pick at my split ends. I don’t like doing that – it makes my eyes hurt from focusing on little hairs for ages! Something else I need to work on…
Pull Free Starting Today
by mspennylane on 13. Jul, 2009 in Living With Trichotillomania, Personal Stories, Support
Recently, I’ve been pulling my hair a bit more and, to be honest, I haven’t been bothered about it. This might sound like a good thing, but really I am bothered deep down. And deep down I know that if I don’t care, I’ll pull and only make things worse. This is why I decided [...]

by mspennylane on 14. Oct, 2008 in Personal Stories, Support, Trich in the Media
I thought it might be useful for me to round up trichotillomania news and blog posts every once in a while. It is always important to keep an eye on what others are writing as there is always more to learn. I will try and include a post of this nature every fortnight to highlight [...]

Did you know that this week (from October 1) is national Trichotillomania week? If not then you should learn about the event at the Trichotillomania Learning Center.
This week is a way to publicize a condition that few really know much about. Do you know what trichotillomania is? It is a disorder that causes people to [...]
My Trich Story
by mspennylane on 02. Aug, 2008 in Being honest about trich, Living With Trichotillomania, Personal Stories, Support
POSTED BY: mspennylane
When I was about 9 I got a hair braid in my hair on holiday, and I always used to fiddle with it. When I finally undid it I continued the fiddling, which turned to pulling out the hair and it went from there (I was, in fact, quite prone to ‘habits’ such [...]
About This Blog
My name's Penny, and I started OnTrich (a trichotillomania blog) to try and raise awareness about hair pulling, and also as a way to help me deal with my own pulling. I'm a 22 year old girl from the UK and I've been pulling for 12 years. Get in touch if you want to chat or need any help - I love meeting people here.
